CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Infrastructure work to expand Centre Court Village will start after the developer of the South Hills townhouse subdivision cleared the last regulatory hurdle this morning.
Members of the Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals approved Larry Dennison's request to waive side setback requirements with little discussion, despite the objection from the attorney of one Centre Court resident.
Dennison, of Dennison Land and Development, said he hopes to extend Centre Court Road and install the utilities -- water, sewer, storm sewer, gas and electricity lines -- needed to build 18 more townhouses by the end of the year.
Construction of the homes, which he expects to sell for between $400,000 and $700,000, could take from three to five years, Dennison said.
The development is located between George Washington High School and John Adams Middle School, off of Tennis Club Road.
