The league and ESPN announced Wednesday that GameDay will broadcast live from the WVU Coliseum that day, for an hour between 11 a.m. and noon and then again at 8 p.m. West Virginia and Louisville will tip off at 9 p.m.
"We are certainly excited about ESPN College GameDay coming to our campus," WVU coach Bob Huggins said in a release issued by the school. "It will be a day that we will be able to showcase our great fans, our great university and the great state of West Virginia."
West Virginia has released the non-conference portion of its schedule and knows which Big East teams it will play, but the league won't finalize the dates for conference games until early September.
GameDay will also broadcast from Notre Dame on Jan. 24 when the Irish play Connecticut. The Big East is the only conference that will have more than one of its schools play host to GameDay.
