WVU receives 2010 hoops commitment

West Virginia's basketball program has received a commitment from big man Storm Stanley for the 2010 recruiting class.

Stanley is a 6-foot-10 standout for St. Francis DeSales High in Toledo, Ohio. He was ranked Ohio's No. 32 sophomore prospect by Hoopsfan.com.

Stanley plays on the same AAU team as another 2010 Mountaineer commitment: Poca's Noah Cottrill. Both play for the Ohio Basketball Club.

The center is said to be an excellent student as well as player.

Just wondering where or who this news came from. I don't see any source or any quotes. Is it for real or a rumor?

As a Toledo, Ohio resident and WVU grad (1956),I am thrilled that one of our area's finest high school basketball players will enroll at West Virginia University. I think Bob Huggins is building a very strong program in Morgantown...it may take a few years but I think he will make it happen!
