One lane open on I-77 northbound near Ripley

RIPLEY -- A head-on collision between a tractor-trailer and a passenger car closed the two northbound lanes of Interstate 77 near the 136-mile marker for more than two hours, a Jackson County emergency dispatcher said.
One lane was back open by 7:45 p.m., the dispatcher said.
One person was flown to the hospital in a HealthNet helicopter, she said. The crash happened around 5:25 p.m. she said. Emergency workers were still on the scene at 6:10 p.m., she said.
No further information was available.
