SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Two new restaurants -- one Vietnamese and one Jamaican -- are set to open in South Charleston within a month, said Bob Anderson of the South Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The Vietnamese restaurant, Pho Vinh Long, is scheduled to open Oct. 10 at 601 D St. It is West Virginia's first Vietnamese restaurant, Anderson said.
The Jamaican restaurant will be at 228 7th Ave. Anderson said the owner, who already owns two restaurants in Jamaica, hopes to open the South Charleston restaurant within a month.
Another South Charleston restaurant, Romeo's Pub, is scheduled to reopen within a week and a half, Anderson said. The pub has been closed for almost two months, but new owners have taken over and plan to keep the popular lunch specials, he said. Romeo's is located at 244 7th Ave.
