A Fayette County man was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury on charges that he phoned in a bomb threat to the Mount Hope Post Office, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.
George William Bumm III, 46, of Mount Hope, also faces charges that he possessed five guns, including a .30-06 rifle and a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle, while he was addicted to drugs, according to the news release.
Bumm is also accused of making false statements when he bought guns that he was not addicted to drugs, according to the six-count indictment.
If convicted, Bumm faces up to 25 years in prison and fines of up to $750,000.
Also on Wednesday, a Nitro man was indicted on charges that he dealt OxyContin in Cross Lanes earlier this month.
If convicted, Joshua Adam Nunley, 26, faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $1 million.
