MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia safety Charles Pugh has been kicked off the team after being charged with a felony.
WVU spokesman Mike Montoro says coach Bill Stewart dismissed Pugh for violating team policy Wednesday.
WVU Police Chief Bob Roberts says Pugh turned himself in and was released on $10,000 bond earlier in the day.
Roberts says the fraudulent scheme charge involves about $1,600 run up without permission on someone else's credit or debit card.
Pugh had 19 tackles and two forced fumbles as a junior and had been expected to compete for a starting role next fall.

At least Coach Stewart has shown that HE, unlike the BOG, has a standard of Honor.
