A good Knight
Point Pleasant soph Wasonga settling into role as feature back
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Allan Wasonga has come a long way. And if he keeps this up, his team could come a long way, too.
Wasonga made a triumphant return to Laidley Field Thursday night, racking up an incredible 387 rushing yards and six touchdowns to lead Point Pleasant to a 64-28 victory over Midland Trail.
A native of Nairobi, Kenya, who moved to the United States in the first grade, the sophomore running back carried just 17 times and scored on runs of 66, 7, 62, 11, 44 and 75 yards. He didn't play a down in the fourth quarter.

The Big Blacks Stepped up and beat Wayne thanks to some tuff D down the stretch. Things are looking up for this young team. Its about time its been ten years since we were last in the playoffs. 1998

The true test will start next week against 4-0 Wayne at Wayne as they get to the meat of their conference schedule. Three of the five teams they'll face are currently undefeated. Things are falling together for this talented team though and if they beat Wayne they may run the table.
