Upshur man charged with DUI in death of college bicyclist
HINKLEVILLE - An 18-year-old West Virginia Wesleyan College student was killed Wednesday night after Upshur County Sheriff's deputies say a drunk driver hit him with a pickup truck.
Around 8:50 p.m., deputies responding to the accident on W.Va. 20 found Daniel Duncan of Norwalk, Ohio, lying on the road with severe injuries. Duncan died from his injuries.
Police said Duncan was riding a bike north on the highway when he was struck by the southbound truck driven by Roger Lee Harrison, Jr., 23, of French Creek. Harrison left the scene of the accident, according to the sheriff's department.

Report AbuseWest Virginia, please get together with transportation on making roads safe for bicyclist. We need a uniform a road design that will incorporate a safe walking and biking road. This design will be used by all universities and colleges.
