Allan Wasonga picked up 239 yards of total offense and rushed for two touchdowns, but it was his defensive play that saved the day as Point Pleasant (7-3) downed Chapmanville 17-7 at Point Pleasant in high school football Friday night.
Jarvis carried 38 times for 247 yards and added 77 yards to his all-purpose total on two receptions as Roane downed visiting Ritchie County. For the season, the senior rushed for 1,652 yards in nine games for the Raiders (4-6). Quarterback Rhett Atkinson was 4-for-7 passing for 84 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown toss to Jordan Drake.
Roane County collected six sacks and had four tackles for a loss, forcing Ritchie County to minus-3 yards rushing.
The Rebels' Andy Lipscomb attempted 40 passes, connecting on 18 for 323 yards and three touchdowns. Ryan Richards caught six passes for 128 yards and two scores to lead all Ritchie County (2-8) receivers.
OAK GLEN 43, TOLSIA 26: Running back Chance Rowland amassed 259 rushing yards on 31 carries to lead Oak Glen to an upset win on the road. The Golden Bears (5-5) also did it through the air.
Quarterback Seth Barnhart went 10-for-15 for 219 yards and two touchdowns as Oak Glen piled up a 526-308 advantage in total yards.
Tolsia (5-5) led 20-14 at halftime only to see Oak Glen score three touchdowns in the third quarter to seize control. With the loss, the Rebels are eliminated from playoff contention.

With the Black Knights leading 10-7 late in the game, Chapmanville was threatening to score the go-ahead touchdown, but Wasonga picked off Todd Terry's pass at the Point Pleasant one-yard line to deny the Tigers, who are ranked No. 4 in Class AA.
The victory gives Point Pleasant, which entered the game ranked No. 10 in Class AA, the Cardinal Conference championship.
Wasonga carried 31 times for 203 yards and had the Black Knights' lone pass reception for 36 yards. The Cardinal Conference scoring leader added an insurance touchdown on a seven-yard run with three seconds remaining in the game.
The Black Knights defense held the Tigers to under 150 yards of offense.
Chapmanville's David Wiley ran for 70 yards on eight carries, and Joey Stevens contributed 49 yards on 12 carries. Terry completed seven passes to five different receivers for 61 yards with two interceptions.
The loss was the second in a row for Chapmanville (8-2).
