The Skyhawks gave up six unearned runs behind three errors in dropping the opener to the Pirates 8-6. Akers went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and three runs in the second game for Scott (2-4). Nick Carte and Drew Hess had two hits apiece, including a double each, in the first game for Fayetteville (4-4).
