Marshall dismisses Johnson after arrest
Advertiser

Marshall University defensive back J.J. Johnson has been kicked off the team.

Marshall says the senior was dismissed after he was arrested early Sunday morning. Marshall says Johnson was charged with driving under the influence and driving without insurance.

Coach Mark Snyder says he kicked Johnson off the team for continuing selfish behavior that is unbecoming of a Marshall player.

A message left with Marshall to speak with Johnson was not immediately returned Sunday.

Who cares....it's Marsha. They're still going to have another stellar losing season.

I don't understand why he was kicked off of the team for that. Snyder has really short changed this kid. Two more arrests and he would have been named Captain, but Snyder doesn't give him the chance to prove himself. Now when he gets arrested two more times Snyder is going to regret it. This kid has potential. I can see maybe even 3-4 more arrests in his future and with that he could have been put into the Marshall hall of Fame. this is a travesty!

People are silly. Really it only benefits this state, especially economically, for both schools to be successful along with their coaches and athletes. Could we be grown up enough to support both? - maybe one more than the other. I graduated and am partial to both - Just guess I am Mountaineer Herding Fan!
