Roundup: Power rained out, playing two Sunday

The West Virginia Power's game against the Delmarva Shorebirds was postponed due to rain Saturday night at Appalachian Power Park.

The teams will play a doubleheader today with a 1:05 p.m. first pitch scheduled. West Virginia is scheduled to toss Robby Rowland and Zac Fuesser during the twinbill while Delmarva is slated to pitch Williams Louico and Parker Bridwell.

  • WVU SPORTS: The West Virginia women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to No. 6 Penn State in double overtime in the WVU 90-Minute Classic Friday evening at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.

    All-American Christine Narin scored the deciding goal for the Nittany Lions, burying a 20-yard direct free kick with 82 seconds remaining in the second overtime.

    In the 55th minute, forward Tani Costa put Penn State on the board, and WVU sophomore Kate Schwindel tied the game at 1-1 in the 85th minute.
