Marshall's tennis double duo of Michaela Kissell and Dominika Zaprazna advanced to the quarterfinals of the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at Yale with an opening round win on Thursday.
That pair took the final three sets for a come-from-behind victory (9-7), defeating the country's ninth-ranked doubles team of Karen Nijssen and Kristi Boxx from Mississippi. The MU tandem faces the No. 4 rated pair from UCLA today.
The Locker Room Club, the booster club for the Marshall women's basketball team, has announced the schedule for its annual in-season luncheons for the upcoming season. Each luncheon will take place from noon-1 p.m. in the banquet room of Charlie's Harley-Davidson at 408 4th St. in Huntington. The cost is $10, with the first of seven luncheons to take place today.

PREP VOLLEYBALL: Charleston Catholic will play host to the Class A Region 4 semifinals simultaneously on two courts starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Catholic Athletic Complex.
The finals will be played immediately following the conclusion of the semifinal matches in the main arena, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Catholic meets Buffalo in the semifinal round, while Gilbert plays Man.
