Robinson transfers from Scott to Chapmanville

Junior running back-linebacker Jake Robinson, the leading rusher for Scott's football team, has transferred to Chapmanville.

Robinson's father, who lives in Chapmanville, was recently awarded custody of his son, prompting the move from the football team in Boone County to that in Logan County.

"He has to learn the system,'' said Chapmanville coach George Barker, "but he's picked up things pretty fast. He's a pretty good athlete. Football is football. If you can run the ball, you can run it and if you can make tackles, you can make tackles. We'll see how it works out. I hope it does for the young man.''

Earlier this season, Robinson ran for 155 yards and two touchdowns as Scott beat Chapmanville 32-8. The Tigers are No. 12 in Class AA.

the robinson kid left scott high school because of safety issues the parents had with the school & coaching staff, The problem started when robinson started dating a teammates ex girlfriend, the teammate, along with a few other team members made threats, harassed, and attempted serious harm to robinson by hitting him and the girl from behind in a large 4x4 truck, the police issued a ticket to the teammate, and he had to go before a judge, call madison city hall and check yourself, the police even suggested to the young girl that she obtain a restraining order, so my thought is, what risk does this kid & parents have to take for this kid to play football at this school?? at no other school or institution would this behavior be tolerated, if this type of behavior is acceptable at tis school and by this staff then this quite frankly is NOT a place where my kid, or ANY kid should have to play...... signed Jakes_Dad, mike robinson

hahaha what a joke, he was let go by the scott football team last week it was all over wchs and everything else and now all of a sudden he up and moves? what a joke.
