Advertiser

West Virginia University senior Da'Sean Butler was among 60 men's and women's basketball players who were selected Wednesday as candidates for the Lowe's Senior Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School Award (CLASS).

The award recognizes student-athletes who excel on and off the court and have notable achievements in four areas - classroom, character, community and competition. The men's list of 30 candidates will be narrowed to 10 finalists midway through the regular season and the winner will be announced at the NCAA men's Final Four in April.
