EASTLAKE, Ohio - Lake County laid down four bunts and took advantage of two Power throwing errors in the eighth inning as the Captains scored four runs and hung on for a 4-1 win over West Virginia Thursday night.

Both starting pitchers were effective, as Power starter Rafael De Los Santos went 52/3 scoreless innings and allowed three hits and Captains' starter Danny Salazar tossed six scoreless innings and also gave up just three hits.

Duke Welker (0-9) suffered the loss in his first relief appearance of the year for West Virginia (5-2), as he allowed all four runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk in two innings. Reliever Travis Turek (1-0) got the win for Lake County (5-3) after allowing one run on one hit and four walks in two innings.

The teams will finish their four-game set tonight at 7. The Power will send right-hander Brian Leach (1-0, 2.09 ERA) to the mound and the Captains will counter with righty Trey Haley (2-3, 5.77).
