The Mountaineer men were one of 102 men's soccer teams in all divisions to post a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2007-08 academic year. The team posted a GPA of 3.24.
The WVU women, who compiled a GPA of 3.44, were one of 259 women's teams in all divisions to post a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2007-08 year.

WVU WRESTLING: The West Virginia wrestling team picked up a pair of victories at the "Sprawl & Brawl" dual meets Sunday at Binghamton University in Vestal, N.Y. The Mountaineers defeated Columbia 22-15 in the first match and then knocked off North Carolina 21-11.
The Mountaineers return to action Dec. 5-6 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in Las Vegas.

MARSHALL SWIMMING: The Herd swimming and diving team added another athlete in the fall signing period with a pledge from swimmer Jaimie Holmquist.
Holmquist swims for Douglas High School in Coral Springs, Fla., and for Coral Springs Aquatic Club. She is the sister of Marshall sophomore diver Haley Holmquist.
