Pa. man gets 5 years in turkey hunter shooting death
WESTON, W.Va. -- A Pennsylvania man who shot a turkey hunter but told no one about it for weeks will spend five years behind bars.
Robert Tobias, 58, of Millersburg, Pa., was sentenced in Lewis Circuit Court on Wednesday.
Circuit Judge Thomas Keadle ordered Tobias to serve the five-year maximum for wanton endangerment. A one-year term for negligent shooting and a 100-day sentence for failing to render aid will run concurrently.
Tobias had pleaded guilty in September to shooting 31-year-old Shawn Stewart of Walkersville in April.
Tobias accidentally shot and killed Stewart while the two were hunting separately at Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park. Tobias said he panicked when he found Stewart's body and left without reporting what had happened.

This happens far to often, hunters are suppose to identify their targets before pulling the trigger. Then he left the scene?
My condolences to the family of Shawn Stewart.
