With all the bonuses going around and everything, it seems like now would really be a good time to go to work for the housing agency, the West Virginia Housing Development. I mean, after all, if they're going to give them that kind of bonuses, they've got to be wading knee deep in money.
I wish the hierarchy of the Catholic Church would have paid as much attention to the pedophiles in their own ranks as they do not wanting women to have reproductive rights. You men do not have a clue. It is so sad.
Does anyone know of a grocery store that sells fruit like pears wrapped up like they used to do instead of out individually where all the dirty hands can get at them?
I'm just so thankful that some of these surface mining, mountaintop removal projects are closing. There's nothing wrong with mining coal, but not when you totally destroy the environment -- large tracts of West Virginia. I hope they all close and let the men go to work mining deep coal.
Hey, coal miners in Boone County, quit bashing Obama because you're losing your jobs. He told you when he was running for president he was going to ruin the coal mining industry and you still backed him, so don't complain.
What in the world is going on with this new rule for renewing your driver's license? This is absolutely ridiculous. I went over there, stood in line. I didn't have the 1099. I didn't have this, I didn't have that. I had a whole briefcase full of stuff but she still wouldn't accept that.
With all of the many wholesome woman role models in our society, why would JCPenney pick Ellen Degeneres to be their spokesperson?
I live in the city of Charleston. I just got my $88 sewage bill, my $77 water bill. Boy it's great living in the city of Charleston. It's time they do something that will help out the real people living here in town.
I'm watching WSAZ-TV and they're talking about the future of Charleston. They call it Imagine Charleston, the future that it could possibly have. Well, the future starts with cleaning up this filthy city.

Contraception, i.e. birth control, is not health care. Abortion is not health care. And Congress needs to pass a law that this is not health care and it will solve the whole problem.
Is there a bank where we can send a donation to help the family of the boy who was killed by the train?
Why is there a contractor from Rhode Island installing fiber optic cable at the West Virginia National Guard in Charleston? Isn't there a West Virginia firm that could do this work competently? This is a prevailing wage job.
Every legislator, state employee and teacher ought to read John David's editorial comments on water three times over and then discuss it and then wake up.
The headline said "West Virginia gets D for teacher quality law." Shouldn't the union, not our fine teachers, be blamed for too much control? Parents, where are you?
The citizens of Nitro deserve an explanation for the missing $58,000 from the Nitro Police Department.
I'm glad the mayor of Winfield cleaned house on the police department. No more speed traps. No more arresting of 7-year-old kids for speech, and hopefully no more making fun of people being hit by trains.
Presidential candidate running for office Mitt Romney is a whole lot like President Obama. His past policies are too liberal and takes away from our Constitutional rights.
The Logan County Commission wants to spend $1.2 million on Astroturf for football fields, and the Logan County Board of Education $4 million. Logan County schools are 49th and the county has raw sewage running into the creeks. Wow, what a place to live.
I want to commend our governor and the rest of our West Virginia government, especially Joe Manchin, for the shape of our state. I love the way Joe Manchin speaks out about the Afghanistan war and so forth when he knows the federal government is going in the wrong direction.
