To the person who wants the United States to be feared instead of loved and said love gets you nowhere, actually love gets you to heaven. Being feared gets you to hell.
Why does the Kanawha Mall not have any more lights in their parking lot? It is dangerous and it is very dark over there in the evening.
Just what blunders did the White House commit that caused Hamas to lob rockets on Israel?
Regarding the new Huntington/Charleston transit bus, are they going to go anywhere near the veteran's hospital? If you do please put it in the newspaper so people will know what is going on.
The Republicans and Wall Street are really leaving a mess for Obama.
I was reading in the paper and they were talking about advice for hangovers. My best advice would be not to drink.
I just read a vent listing several of Bush's failures. Most were false, as usual, but one really made me laugh. Blaming Bush for the Katrina disaster? You have got to be kidding me. He had nothing to do with the weather. He had nothing to do with thousands of people living below sea level for decades and refusing to evacuate when warned.
The phone company sucks for air, having everyone dial 10 digits just for a phone number all of a sudden. Wonder who the brains behind that was?
To the person who said he did not want to support the autoworkers because they make $75 an hour, if you go to factcheck.org you will see that they make $28 an hour. If you add in the cost of their benefits, it will be approximately $38 per hour. The $75 was a figure that a conservative think tank, who opposed the bailout, came up with.
I faintly remember that the governor or the attorney general was going to check into the high prices of gasoline last summer and/or fall. What were their findings?
It won't be long before Joe Biden sticks his foot in his mouth again. Hopefully it won't be on some foreign affairs trip. Maybe then all you people attacking Sarah Palin will admit she would have made a better vice president.

To the reader that commented on being a multicultural nation, it is quite clear that you are a racist. Being multicultural does not mean we will become a black nation or, for that matter, any other race. It simply means that we should be open-minded to other cultures. Understanding others increases our knowledge and thereby lessens our behavior to judge. People are quick to judge what they do not understand.
They still make fun of Sarah Palin about the "I can see Russia from my front porch" statement. The fact is that statement was made on "Saturday Night Live" by Tina Fey. Just goes to show where most of the Obama voters get their political information. Heaven help us.
Yes WVU needs a big back for short yardage situations. Remember where we were last year at this time. While other schools were recruiting we were trying to find a coach and coaching staff. We were lucky to get any recruits, much less the exact ones we needed. This year should be much better and next season watch out.
I see where Secretary Rice and Laura Bush were both praising Bush for not only ruining the United States of America but also our relations with other nations. Seems like neither of them have any shame or conscience either, just like Mr. Bush.
State law requires employers to carry worker's compensation insurance for their employees. Why then can insurance companies cancel a policy because of loss experience? An employer with a high loss experience will find it impossible to obtain new coverage. What will an employer do when no one will insure him? He will be forced to shut down his business and lay off his employees. No wonder the businesses climate is cold in West Virginia.
To the Marshall fan that said West Virginia came really close to getting tarred and feathered, close only counts in horseshoes and Marshall isn't even close on that. You probably see every glass as half empty. A win is a win.
Let's talk about civil rights. Telling people they can't smoke, having to have car insurance and having to wear seatbelts is all against your civil rights. Plus, there are 100 others. Tell the teachers to grin and bear it because their civil rights, sooner or later, will be overrun and they will have to take drug testing, which I think is an excellent idea.
Is West Virginia the only state that has to dial the 10-digit code or is it nationwide?
