s To the venter complaining that their three sons got a good education and only one is working in their field, how can you be bitter about two of them who either studied the wrong thing or they live in the wrong place? No one is guaranteed to work where you want to live. You have to go to the job. You can't expect the government to bring the job to you.
The report from Alaska showed some real problems we are having with global warming and the heating up of our planet. The methane gas bubbling up from a body of water is not understood as to how it will affect us but it could not be good. We are losing this war because our money is being wasted in Iraq, along with lives.
To the person who wanted "In God We Trust" removed from U.S. money, there are planes leaving the United States every day. Hop aboard.
When you call an "American" company and talk to someone in India, Portugal or other places, you can thank George Bush for giving huge tax breaks to companies to outsource jobs to other countries. You can't blame Bill Clinton for this; you can blame money-loving George Bush.
A nonprofit organization cannot have a profit at the end of their fiscal year; as such, they could provide a bonus to ensure that there is no profit. A not-for-profit organization may have a profit at the end of the year. Someone in Monday's Readers' Voice had the two terms confused.
Shame on the coaches and administrators that are trying to eliminate some of the smallest schools in the state from being able to participate in the SSAC play-off systems. If they would work harder with their teams instead of complaining so much, they would have teams that could compete. I think this is shameful for them to try to win by legislating.
Call it what you will - religion, Christianity, "God worshiping," etc. However, it doesn't change the fact that you're being controlled by a nonexistent higher being. How about practicing a little independence and self-responsibility?
President Bush does not control the gas prices. OPEC does. He called OPEC a month ago trying to get them to increase production and they won't.
Although I thought John Edwards was good, don't waste your vote on him. You have to make it count in a close race. Obama is the most progressive and honest.
I am a lifelong Democrat who will be voting for Hillary Clinton with enthusiasm next month in the West Virginia primary because I think she will be the easiest one for John McCain to defeat.

God is what has kept this country together.I guess all these people blaming President Bush on the gas prices forget that the Democratic-controlled Congress voted unanimously not to drill in Alaska. No matter who you put in office, you will find out that oil continues to go higher because of China and the fact that our dollar is worth less. Who are you going to blame then when you put Obama or Clinton in office? Why are Suddenlink's customers paying Suddenlink's business and occupation tax on their bill?I would just like to say I have one Holy Father and he resides in Heaven. For those who complain about Byrd, if it wasn't for Byrd, West Virginia would not have an economy. If it wasn't for Byrd, West Virginia would have the worst interstates in the union. I say thank you to Senator Byrd.Given time, President Obama can heal the wounds, at home and abroad, brought on by the long night of the George W. Bush administration. It is so nice to see that the powers-to-be in Charleston have decided to use my user fee for other than its stated and intended purpose. As a non-resident of Charleston, I do not believe that I will ever use the riverbank. It is because of this type action by city officials that I do not spend any of my money within the city limits of Charleston. They can have the user fee but the businesses will not get my money.Everyone who doesn't have insurance should be at the rally on May 3. If you have a voice, use it now. West Virginians need better health care and this is a way to it.
