Mingo man pleads guilty to stealing shotgun

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Mingo County man admitted in federal court Wednesday that he possessed a stolen gun, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.

James Matthew Ball, 45, of Gilbert, admitted to stealing a 16-gauge shotgun in Gilbert in July 2008, the news release states.

Ball faces up to 10 years in prison when sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin on Dec. 10.
