DUI checkpoints scheduled for weekend

CHARLESTON, W.Va. --  The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department and State Police detachment at Winfield are conducting sobriety checkpoints this weekend.

The sheriff's department, in conjunction with the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, will conduct a checkpoint from 8 p.m. on Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday in the area of U.S. 60 and Driftwood Drive near Belle.

The State Police at Winfield will conduct a checkpoint beginning 8 p.m. Saturday and continuing through 2 a.m. Sunday on W.Va. 34 near Chapman Funeral Home in Teays Valley.
