Ohio fugitive arrested in Jefferson

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha County Sheriff's officer arrested an Ohio fugitive along U.S. 60 in Jefferson on Monday.
Keith Allen Nibert, 47, of Beverly, Ohio, was wanted on probation violations in Gallia County, Ohio. He was also wanted on warrants from Wood County for battery and petit larceny.
Cpl. J.H. Thaxton stopped to check on Nibert as he hitchhiked along U.S. 60. He was arrested without incident and was in South Central Regional Jail on Tuesday awaiting extradition.
