DUNBAR, W.Va. -- A Dunbar man was charged with drug possession after sheriff's deputies allegedly caught him with crack cocaine.
Lt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department said deputies were patrolling in West Dunbar and Institute on the afternoon of Nov. 13 when they spotted several people loitering by a "No Loitering" sign at the Smoot Avenue apartments. Another sign read "Police Enforced," so deputies pulled in to investigate.
After determining that none of the men knew anyone in the apartment building, deputies conducted a search and discovered a plastic Tylenol bottle containing what appeared to be crack cocaine in the possession of 25-year-old Jabryan D. Timbers of Dunbar. Timbers allegedly had a small bag of marijuana as well.
Timbers was charged with drug possession and taken to the South Central Regional Jail. He was free Monday on $10,000 bond.
