Sunday's Child: Teen needs family support to realize potential

By Staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- This is Kristin, age 14. She has an outgoing personality and a delightful sense of humor. She enjoys music, writing poetry and getting out to do activities.

Kristin shows concern for those close to her. She has a knack for knowing when they have something on their minds, and she is always willing to lend an ear, along with some youthful wisdom.

Kristin is the eldest of a sibling group of four and has played the role of caregiver. She would benefit from the chance to be a young lady and not a caregiver. At times she has difficulty in relinquishing this role.

Kristin would be a wonderful addition to a loving family who will provide her with a safe, secure and stable home. She has a lot of potential that can be realized if given a supportive family.

Many children in West Virginia are legally eligible to be adopted and are waiting for permanent and loving families. For more information about adoption, contact Mission West Virginia at 866-225-5698 or email adopt@missionwv.org.
