Soul Survivors reunion show rescheduled, relocated

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Because of a shooting early Friday morning, a quasi-reunion show for the late-1960s Charleston area teen R&B band The Soul Survivors has been moved to Saturday afternoon at Haddad Riverfront Park.

Stan Jordan, who is back in town from Washington state, will join about half of The Soul Survivors and Virginia-based band Delirious at 1:30 p.m. today<co SATURDAY> at Haddad Riverfront Park. The show is free. Surrounding the show will be the annual Charleston Boulevard Rod Run and Doo Wop, which stretches along Kanawha Boulevard from Capitol Street to Magic Island. It runs 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. today<co SATURDAY> and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The show had been set for tonight<co SATURDAY NIGHT online> at the Charleston Moose Lodge. But because of a shooting in the lodge's parking lot Friday morning, that venue is temporarily closed.
