Police seek two in gas station break-in

By Staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police are seeking the identity of two men who allegedly broke into a Cross Lanes gas station and stole bank deposit bags early Monday.

Two white males pulled up in a black Ford Ranger outside Go-Mart at 123 Goff Mountain Road in Cross Lanes just before 5 a.m., Kanawha County Sheriff's Detective Sean Snuffer said in a news release.

Security cameras caught one suspect entering the backdoor of the gas station before breaking into an office. The suspect took four bank deposit bags, according to the release.

The second suspect got out of the truck, stripped down to his underwear and socks and paced around before allegedly attempting to break into an exterior bathroom.

A gas station employee was helping customers and did not notice anyone break in, according to the release.

Kanawha County Sheriff's are asking anyone with information to call Cpl. J.A. Ratliff at 304-357-0169.
