W.Va. State Fair schedule: Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013

FAIRLEA, W.Va. -- The West Virginia State Fair takes place at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds in Fairlea. Gate admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children ages 6-12, free for children under 6.

Today's schedule:

8 a.m.: Gates open

9 a.m.: Simmental cattle show

10, 11 a.m., noon, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 p.m.: Moo U

11 a.m., 2:30, 5:30 p.m.: Matt Enik

11 a.m., 1, 3, 4:30, 7 p.m.: Swifty Swine pig races

Noon, 2, 5:30, 7 p.m.: All American Stunt & Thrill Show

12:30, 2:30, 5:30 p.m.: Extreme raptor show

12:30, 2:30, 5:30 p.m.: Rowdy Rooster puppet show

12:30, 3:30, 7 p.m.: Comedic hypnotist

1 p.m.: Charolais cattle show

1, 3, 6 p.m.: The One Man Band

1 p.m.: Harness races

2 p.m.: Purebred sheep skillathon

3:30 p.m.: Purebred swine skillathon

4 p.m.: Junior sheep showmanship

5 p.m.: Farm show, halter classes

5 p.m.: Shepherd's lead

6 p.m.: Southdown sheep

6 p.m.: Farm show, hitch classes

8 p.m.: Concert: Eli Young Band & Love and Theft
