Nicholas County wreck kills three, injures infant

MOUNT LOOKOUT, W.Va. - Three people were killed and a 4-month-old infant was injured Tuesday afternoon when a car struck another vehicle parked on the roadside on U.S. 19.

Donnie Greene, 58, was driving south on U.S. 19 near Mount Lookout when his 2012 Kia Sorrento went off the right side of the road and struck a parked truck that had been left due to mechanical problems, according to a news release from the Nicholas County Sheriff's Department.

Greene and passenger Sherry Greene, 41, died at the scene of the accident. Another passenger, Jonathan Bibb, 18, was taken to a Charleston hospital, where he died of his injuries.

A 4-month-old baby was injured in the accident and taken to Summersville Regional Medical Center.

No one was in the parked truck at the time of the accident. The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department is investigating the case.
