Bulletin board: Oct. 29, 2012

TODAY:

Greenbrier West High School: will present the Greenbrier Valley Theatre production of "Always Patsy Cline" at 7 p.m. in the school's new auditorium. Admission is by donation. A spaghetti dinner will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m., benefiting GWHS Project Graduation. Cost is $5 a plate.

FUTURE EVENTS:

Elk Valley Public Service District commissioners: will have a board meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday at 100 Bream Drive, Elkview.

American Legion Post 73, 1011 Pennsylvania Ave., St. Albans, will sponsor a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at the post. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Sandy's: 216 Seventh Ave., South Charleston, will sponsor a benefit pool tournament for Baby Liam at 6 p.m. Saturday. There is a $10 entry fee. Sign-ups begin at 5 p.m. for double elimination, singles only. Liam Joseph Bailey was born 17 weeks early Oct. 15. Proceeds will help with medical bills and other expenses the parents, Darrell and Ceges Bailey, are experiencing while they stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Huntington. First- and second-place prizes will be awarded and donated items will be raffled. Raffle tickets are $1 or $5 for six tickets. The raffle drawings will take place at 8 p.m. and you do not have to be present to win. Monetary donations may be sent to an account for Baby Liam that has been set up at Summit Community Bank, 28 Main St., Rainelle, W.Va., 25962. Donations for the raffle are also sought. South Charleston Lions Club: will sponsor an arts and crafts fair from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the South Charleston Community Center. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children.

Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Dept.: will host their fourth annual craft show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tyler Mountain Community Building, 5380 Big Tyler Road, Cross Lanes, adjacent to the fire department. Charleston Coin Club: will have their annual coin show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Charleston Civic Center. Admission is free. Dealers from West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky will buy, sell and trade coins, paper money, gold jewelry, coal mine scrip and West Virginia tokens. Truth Seekers: will meet for an open discussion Saturday at the South Charleston Library. Topics include suppressed truth on debt, taxes, 9-11, cures, UFOs and more.
