AARP to conduct get-out-vote events in state
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- It could get noisy in Charleston and Huntington during the morning commute.
The AARP West Virginia is taking a "Honk and Wave'' voter awareness campaign to both cities on Wednesday to alert residents about the start of early voting in the state. Staff and volunteers will be on the streets in both cities between 7:30 and 8:45 a.m. encouraging voters to cast their ballots in the November election.
Early voting begins today and runs through 5 p.m. on Nov. 3. Polls will be open on Saturdays.
