Interstate 77 shut down following accident near Sissonville

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. -- All lanes of Interstate 77 are shut down near Sissonville following a three-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer.

One car crossed the median at mile marker 107, but it wasn't clear what direction the car had been traveling, a State Police dispatcher said.

The call came into Metro 911 at 8:11 p.m.

Traffic is being rerouted to Kanawha County Route 21 at Tuppers Creek Road and getting back on the interstate at Edens Fork, a State Police dispatcher said.
