CHARLESTON, W.Va.-- A House of Delegates member from McDowell County was cited for driving under the influence in Ohio last weekend, court records show.
Delegate Clif Moore, a Democrat, was cited for operating a vehicle while impaired on Nov. 24, after being stopped by a Columbus Police officer at the intersection of High and Frankfort streets in downtown Columbus, according to Franklin County Municipal Court records.
Moore, who lived in Columbus for 22 years before moving back to West Virginia, said he was spending Thanksgiving with his children, who live in Columbus, when he was pulled over.
"I was driving and I got caught," Moore said Thursday. "It's more public embarrassment than anything else."
