CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Putnam County man was sentenced Monday in federal court to two years in prison for aggravated identity theft, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.
Justin Bailey, 21, of Poca, pleaded guilty to the charge in August.
Bailey used the name and identification of another person to apply online for credit cards in March and April 2008, according to the news release. Bailey ran up more than $10,000 in bogus charges.
Bailey also used the victim's identity to obtain bank loans and credit totaling more than $48,000.
As part of the sentence, U.S. District Judge Robert C. Chambers ordered Bailey to pay restitution to the victims of his scheme.
In a separate case, a Huntington woman pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute crack cocaine.
Tracy Robbins, 31, admitted that she participated in a conspiracy to sell the drug in the Huntington and Beckley areas, the release states.
Robbins faces up to life in prison when sentenced by Chambers on Feb. 22.
In a separate case, a Canadian woman was sentenced to 15 months in prison for possessing cocaine with intent to distribute.
Tiffany Lyn Wilson, 23, of Ontario, pleaded guilty in August, admitting that she and her boyfriend, Gino Andrea Washington, traveled from Canada to West Virginia to sell crack and oxycodone pills, according to the release.

Washington, also known as Kevin Franklin Colbert, 37, of Detroit, also pleaded guilty and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin to 37 months in prison.
On Monday, an Ohio man pleaded guilty to possessing a stolen motorcycle that had crossed state lines.
Edward Jay Messer, 45, of Cincinnati, admitted that he knew the motorcycle, which had been taken apart then rebuilt with another frame, transmission and motor case, was stolen when he presented it to the Huntington Police Department for inspection, the release states. After it was titled, the motorcycle was sold at a Kentucky pawnshop.
As part of his plea agreement, Messer admitted that he had titled seven stolen and reassembled motorcycles between 2001 and 2004, the release states.
Messer faces up to 10 years when sentenced by Chambers on Feb. 8.
Also on Monday, an Ohio man was sentenced to 33 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a gun.
Ahmad J. Broadnax, 30, of Toledo, admitted in August that he had a .45 caliber semiautomatic pistol and a .22 caliber revolver in January. He had two prior felony convictions in Ohio.
Chambers imposed the sentence.
Last week, U.S. District Judge John T. Copenhaver Jr. sentenced a Fayette County man to almost six years in prison for possessing crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Ezra S. Roberson, 31, of Hilltop, pleaded guilty to the charge in July. West Virginia State Troopers seized 10 ounces of cocaine, $64,000 and two guns at Roberson's home in January, the news release states.
