Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Episcopal Church Parish House, 1105 Quarrier St., and at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Christopher's Episcopal, 819 Somerset Drive. A study group will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 508 Second Ave., South Charleston, in the education building.

West Virginia State University will host a natural science and mathematics speaker series at 12:25 p.m. in Room 107, Hamblin Hall. Dr. Samarjit Patnaik, a chemist at the National Institutes of Health's Chemical Genomics Center, will speak. The event is free and open to the public. The Charleston chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance meets Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Room 109, St. John's Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St. Unaffiliated with any health or religious organization, it is a peer-run support group for those with or family members with mood disorders. West Virginia Landlords Association will meet at the Little Creek Park clubhouse for a social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Thursday. All landlords are welcome. For more information call 304-550-4214.

West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Gov. Manchin's REAP program and Jackson County will host a tire collection at the Jackson County Recycling Center on W.Va. 62 at Cottageville, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Residents may dispose of up to 10 tires per person with a valid West Virginia ID for Jackson County. The tires must be off the rims. Only car and light-truck tires 16 inches or less will be accepted.
