BENWOOD, W.Va. -- An Army specialist from Marshall County has died in Afghanistan.

According to the U.S. Air Force, Julian Berisford's body was expected to be arrive Friday at Dover Air Force base in Delaware.

Berisford's cousin, Randi Jo Chavanak, told the Wheeling Intelligencer that the 25-year-old Berisford joined the Army in February 2007 and became a specialist in the 509th Infantry. He was deployed to Afghanistan in March.

Chavanak said Berisford was expected to come home later this month to celebrate his daughter's first birthday.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
