CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Military families can save money on groceries this weekend at the Eleanor National Guard Complex near the Winfield Locks and Dam, the West Virginia National Guard announced.
Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The sale will feature fresh meat and produce, household cleaning and personal care items, canned goods, snacks, pet food, water and sports drinks, and a variety of non-perishable goods.
Current and retired service members from any branch of service that have a valid Department of Defense military identification card are eligible to shop at the sale. Military dependents with a valid military dependent identification card may shop without their sponsor.
Nearly 400 shoppers visited the National Guard's most recent sale in Martinsburg. To date, more than 3,000 military families have benefited from eight other sales held around the state.
