HARPER HEIGHTS, W.Va. -- No charges are being filed in the death of a 12-year-old girl from Raleigh County who died Monday evening as the result of an accident.

The girl, who was not identified, was playing at a house in Harper Heights when she sustained a serious injury, according to Sgt. J.E. Bare with the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department.

The girl was transported to CAMC Women's and Children's Hospital, where she died at 6:30 p.m. Monday evening, Bare said.

After careful investigation, the sheriff's department decided her injuries were the result of an accident and no one is being charged in connection with the juvenile's death, Bare said.
