Ex-athletes, team owners to discuss sports business at WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Former athletes Oliver Luck and Sam Huff will join sports team owners to discuss the business of sports at West Virginia University.
Luck is a two-time Academic All-American who led the Mountaineers to a 1981 Peach Bowl victory, and Huff is a former NFL star who played for the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins.
Joining them at 6 p.m. Nov. 4 in the Erickson Alumni Center will be Ken Kendrick, managing general partner of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Bob Nutting, principal owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Kendrick is a WVU graduate who was critical of the school after former football coach Rich Rodriguez left for Michigan. Nutting is president and chief executive of Odgen Newspapers in Wheeling.
