Ky. man sentenced in fatal Wayne crash
WAYNE, W.Va. -- A Kentucky man accused of driving drunk and causing an accident that killed four people will spend up to 26 years in prison.
Special prosecutor Sean Hammers says Bobby Frazier, 48, of Louisa, Ky., entered a Kennedy plea on Friday to four counts of drunken driving causing death, third-offense drunken driving and driving on a suspended/revoked license. Under the Kennedy rule, the defendant doesn't admit guilt.
Wayne Circuit Judge Darrell Pratt sentenced Frazier to six to 26 years in prison.
Police said a stolen pickup truck driven by Frazier crossed the center line and collided head-on with another pickup on April 17, 2008. All four occupants of the second pickup -- a Kenova father, his two toddlers and a family friend from Fort Gay -- were killed.
