CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Natasha Light, who was in Brian Scott Good's truck when Good and Charleston police officer Jerry Jones were shot on Sept. 13, was arrested with her husband Monday evening after both allegedly assaulted State Police troopers.

State Police said they learned that Jeremy Light, 27, Natasha's husband, had failed to register as a sex offender and was staying at a relative's apartment on South Pinch Road in Elkview, according to State Police.

Jeremy Light failed to update his residential address after moving out of an apartment in Chesapeake, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

State Police Senior Trooper L.W. Price and Sgt. L.G. O'Bryan went to the South Pinch Road residence and spoke with Malena Meadows, who told them that the Lights were in the back room.

O'Bryan knocked on the door. No one answered, so police entered the room and saw the Lights lying on the bed.

O'Bryan walked to the bed and said "State Police, wake up" and nudged Jeremy Light in the shoulder, according to the complaint. Upon waking, Light elbowed O'Bryan in the leg. He was immediately arrested for battery on a police officer.

When her husband was handcuffed, Natasha Light allegedly grabbed her husband and started kissing him.

The troopers told her to stop and let go of her husband, but she only yelled, "You're not taking him," according to the complaint.

My Grandpa said-- If you lay with dogs dont cry if you get a few fleas---you ARE known by the company you keep. Be careful how you pick your friends. KUDOS to our Troopers! Light knew the law---put him back in jail!

Yea ok - it's evident that when criminals get arrested and get out so easy and you never hear about their "sentence" that they have pled out or agreed to cooperate with the police in some way by turning in other druggies or being wired, etc. I'm sure the prosecutor's office beleives in what they do - BUT if for any reason - either Brian or Natasha and Jeremoy could have been put away for years - THEN in my opinion those deaths would not have occurred if they had no been given any deals.

Tabetha - the police KNOW who the criminals are. It's the justice system who lets them make pleas and walk out that is the problem.
