PARKERSBURG, W.Va. -- Parkersburg Finance Director Randy Craig has been fired amid an internal investigation.

Mayor Bob Newell's office announced Craig's dismissal Monday in a news release. According to the release, the investigation found several incidents involving misappropriation of city money for personal use.

Newell's office said Doug Life has been named to replace Craig as finance director. Life is superintendent of the city's waste and recycling division.
