CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- More than 2,000 American Electric Power customers were without power Wednesday afternoon, including CAMC Women and Children's Hospital.

The power to the medical offices in the hospital went down around 1:40 p.m., but was returned about an hour later.

The main hospital was on a back-up generator and did have any issues, according to a nurse there.

Yeager Airport also experienced a power outage around the same time, but the power was returned within 15 minutes, according to a Yeager employee.
