Jackson County crash leaves woman seriously injured

RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. - Three people were injured, one of them seriously, in an accident Saturday  on Interstate 77 near Ravenswood.

A woman believed to be in her 60s was taken by helicopter to CAMC General, a Jackson County 911 dispatcher said.

Two other people injured were transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the northbound lane near the 147-mile marker on I-77. One lane of traffic was blocked for about two hours, the dispatcher said.

It was unclear late Saturday how many vehicles were involved in the accident.
