Boy riding bike in Martinsburg killed by commuter train

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Berkeley County deputies say a boy was struck and killed by a commuter train.

Sheriff Kenneth Lemaster says the boy and a friend were riding their bikes at a railroad crossing in Martinsburg Thursday night.

Police have not released the name or the age of the boy.

Lemaster says the engineer did everything possible to stop the train as soon as he saw the boys.
