CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- With Friday's arrest of Farris Eugene Mallo, police have lodged felony charges against each of the adults who lived at the house at 1319 Frame St. on Charleston's West Side.

The adults are all relatives of the 14-year-old boy accused of killing an 82-year-old woman in her West Side home last weekend.

Sgt. Steve Cooper, chief of detectives for Charleston police, said that before the slaying, the family wasn't well known to the detective division.

"These people were all strangers to me when I met them," he said, "and I know most of the criminal element in Charleston."

Farris Mallo, 29, is accused of sexually assaulting his ex-wife three different times. He is charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault and three counts of burglary for allegedly breaking into her house to commit the assaults.

Farris Mallo turned himself in to Nitro police on Friday.

He is the son of Carolyn Mallo and Alexander Doran and lived in the home at 1319 Frame St. that police condemned on Thursday.

Farris Mallo allegedly sexually assaulted the woman in her home, two houses down from 1319 Frame St., according to the complaint filed by Charleston police.

On Thursday, Carolyn Mallo, 55, Alexander Doran (who police say also uses the last name Mallo), 67, and Farris Mallo's sister, Trina Mallo, 27, were arrested on felony child endangerment charges because of the conditions found in their home. Trina Mallo's 6-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son were taken from the house and placed in state custody.

Alexandrio Michael Mallo, 23, - also the son of Carolyn Mallo and Doran - was accused earlier this month on a charge of sexually abusing the 7-year-old boy. He was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual abuse for allegedly striking the boy's privates with a ruler, among other things.

Doran identified his third son as 14-year-old Thomas Mallo during his arraignment in Kanawha County Magistrate Court on Thursday.

'You're still my woman'

According to the criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court as evidence in issuing a warrant, Farris Mallo twice sneaked into the woman's home and raped her.

Cooper said he believes the two have a child, who also lives in the house.

The first incident was about two months ago, the complaint states. Farris Mallo allegedly used a lock pick to get inside, then hid behind a curtain as his ex-wife took a shower.

"Next thing she knew, Farris was standing by her bed, then on top of her," according to the complaint. "The victim told him to leave but he said that he 'Was not worried about it.' ... He said he had a right because 'You're still my woman.'"

I was born and raised on this street when it was a wonderful safe street to live on. I married and moved away but my elderly mother still lives there and really likes her house and being able to have her own place. She has a nice house and takes pride in keeping it nice, the same as the lady that was murdered. The older family that have passes away and there homes sold to landloaeds for almost nothing are renting these houses through HUD and don't really care who moves in them and how much the trash the house because the government will reemurse them for the cost of refurbeshing them. This same family moved into a house on that same street and was forsed to move because of there filth and the roaches were running out of that house and infesting the house close to them. The landloard of that house did take care of that problem but the people just moved up the street in a house. If the government is giving these landloards money its seems they should set rules like in gov. housing.
