  • The Brighterside Quartet will sing at 6 p.m. today at Sharon Church of God on Cabin Creek.
  • Robin Dye will sing at 7 p.m. Sunday at Meadowbrook Freewill Baptist Church on Rt. 114 North.
  • The Fourth Annual Gospel Singin' at the Lake, Sing No. 1 will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27 at the Mountain Lake Campground Amphitheater located on Airport Road at Summersville Lake (between the airport and marina. In case of rain, the sing will be moved under the pavilion. Local groups will be singing and admission is free. Seating is available or bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Food and refreshments will be available. The sing is presented by REACH By FAITH Ministries.
  • Dean Browder will be singing at 7 p.m. at Jodie Church of God at 7 p.m. today. He will also sing at Bentree Church of God at 11 a.m. on Sunday and at Alta Church of God at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
  • Living Word Quartet will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Riverview Gospel Tabernacle, 2320 Bench Rd. in Charleston.

  • Summersville Sings the Gospel Freedom Sing will be held at 7 p.m. July 3 in the Old Main Building Auditorium in Summersville. The annual gospel sing will celebrate the freedom of God and country by honoring veterans and those active in the military with music featuring Allen and Christina Underwood, the Pomeroys, Gloryroad Travelers and Freedom Gospel Choir. The sing, presented by Reach by Faith Ministries, is free and a love offering will be received.
  • The Kanawha Valley Gospel Singing Association will hold its monthly sing at 6 pm today at Sharon Church of God located in Dry Branch on Cabin Creek. Featured singers will include the Frontline Quartet, the Songsmen and Linda, the Brighterside Quartet and Charlton Jordan. For information, call John Paul Stephenson at (304) 421-0804.
  • Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church will have its 25th annual free outdoor gospel sing beginning at 7 p.m. on June 26. Featured groups will include the Primitive Quartet and Mike Upright and the Standing Tall Band. Those attending should bring a lawn chair. An offering will be taken for the singers.   • Trinity Christian Church in Davis Creek will host "Tent Meeting 2009" today through June 28 at 7:30 p.m. nightly with the Rev. Chad Searles and family.   • Forks of Coal Missionary Baptist Church in Alum Creek will celebrate its 175th anniversary on Sunday. Service begins at 10 a.m. and dinner at 12:15 p.m. Activities will include a wreath-laying ceremony, history narrative, children and youth choirs and hand bells, puppets, a picture show, music with instruments and a hat contest. Pastor Keith A. George and former pastors Paul Meadows and Gale Pauley will speak. Artifacts and historical information will be displayed and the restored bell (circa 1895) will be dedicated.   • Little Creek Freewill Baptist Church will celebrate Father's Day with a special all-day service beginning at 10 a.m. at the church with preaching by the Rev. Jack Suttle and the Rev. Don Blackwell. The Gloryland Believers will be singing and visitors are welcome.
  • Good Shepherd Free Will Baptist Church, 5470 West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, will have a Happy Father's Day service on Sunday at the church. Pastor Jason Black will preach at the 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services. Special singing at 6 p.m. will feature the Soul Believers. A prayer meeting and youth services both start at 7 p.m. on June 24. The Rev. Arthur Smith will be preaching.
  • Dry Branch Community Church will have a revival at 7 p.m. nightly June 29 through July 3 with the Rev. Vince Buttons. For information, contact Pastor Adam Short, 304-741-5987.
  • Metropolitan Baptist Church now offers three services on Sunday. Services will be held at 8 and 11 a.m., and at 6 p.m. Sundays. The 6 p.m. services on Sunday have been cancelled while the church is being renovated. Pastor Darin Freeman will preach at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Baptist Temple in Beckley. 
  • First Baptist Church of Vandalia, 1500 Mountain Road, will feature the Rev. Cornell Byers as guest speaker at their 11 a.m. Sunday service. Music will be provided by the Male Chorus.
