CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha County sheriff's deputies shut down two suspected meth labs on Wednesday.

According to Lt. Bryan Stover of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, deputies went to 202 Fore Drive near Charleston at about 8 a.m. to investigate a report of a possible methamphetamine lab. Deputies found a meth lab at the same home in 2006, Stover said.

Stover said deputies smelled methamphetamine and found meth-making materials on the ground at the house. They next spoke with 33-year-old Avery Anderson and 30-year-old Marion Harless, who live next door. Both were convicted of making methamphetamine at the house in 2006, he said.

Both Anderson and Harless were arrested and charged with operating a clandestine drug lab. They were in the South Central Regional Jail on Thursday in lieu of $125,000 bond each.

Deputies went to the site of another suspected meth lab at about 4 p.m., Stover said. He said authorities got a report of a possible drug lab run out of a camping trailer on Dutch Creek Road between Cross Lanes and Sissonville.

Stover said Cheryl Skibbe, 41, and David Tolley were suspected of operating the lab. Both are awaiting sentencing on drug convictions in Putnam County.

Stover said the property owner told deputies he had let Tolley and Skibbe stay in the trailer, but had recently asked them to leave. The couple had come back to get some belongings, Stover said.

While at the site, deputies discovered Skibbe was wanted on drug and forgery charges in Kentucky. She was arrested and sent to the South Central Regional Jail to await extradition.

Further charges may be filed against Skibbe and Tolley, Stover said.
